About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a HR Business Partner within our Newcastle or Brisbane office. As our HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for supporting our Management team and Executive on all HR, Recruiting, Training, Organisational Development and Payroll matters.

Candidate Profile:

- Manage compliance obligations of the company as they relate to the broad sphere of HR and provide expert advice to the Management Team, Executive and as required the Board.
- Support Managers through the complex and sensitive HR topics of a growing entrepreneurial company as we implement modern performance review, development planning, talent management and succession planning systems and processes.
- Managing the Recruitment function, liaising with external agencies, issuing contracts and coordinating the onboarding of employees.
- Assist the Executive with the development and implementation of training plans that enable our people to achieve their goals at SGA.
- Provide back up support to the Payroll and Workers Comp processes.

Desirable Experience and Skills:

- Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in HR preferred.
- Experience: Experience at the HR Business Partner level would be preferred, but we recognise this is a role the right person can grow into.
Soft Skills:
- The highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Incredible diligence and attention to detail given the sensitive nature of many topics.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and see them through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Service oriented, someone who wants to support their Management team reach their targets, and support their team-mates achieve their goals.
